The latest outrage committed by the Bush administration should wake more people up to the real hazards posed by global warming. It seems a number of prominent U.S. scientists have been publishing well researched information concerning the dangers posed by excessive greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. The Arctic icepack is disappearing and the massive Greenland glacier is melting as well. One scientist, a Mr. Hansen, predicted the warming trend would become irreversible within 10 years or less if CO-2 emissions are not drastically reduced.


Unfortunately, free press no longer exists in the land of the free. All scientific publications on the matter had to be checked by personnel in the White House. This led to most of the date being rewritten to mitigate or disguise the extent of the hazard being reported, which in turn led to strenuous objections by the scientists, who resented having their signatures affixed to articles they hadn
