Google Maps Drops

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Popular website Google removed the streets of a St. Paul, Minn. suburb from its mapping system. The North Oaks City Council made its request in January, noting privacy concerns along the privately-owned roads. The website gives uses views of homes near the road. Google spokesperson Elaine Filadelfo told the Star Tribune that North Oaks might be the first U.S. city to pose such a request. “This is very rare where an entire town would request to be taken off,” she said.
