As The Fog Thickens

Every war creates and carries its own peculiar fog.

The first casualty being, in every case, truth.

Because no initial blow was ever struck in anger without deliberate preexistent exculpation for those responsible.

Therefore, truth is invariably victimized even prior to that first digression into savagery.

For war is nothing but a regression from all that mankind has learned, all which we have achieved back into that barbaric horde from which our most ancient ancestors evolved.
